There is growing interest in Samsung Electronics' flagship smartphone Galaxy S22, which is scheduled to be released in February this year. There have been a series of information leaks online regarding the colors and detailed specifications of the Galaxy S22 series.
According to the industry on the 3rd, IT media outlets such as Let's Go Digital and 91 Mobile recently obtained images of the Galaxy S22 and released them.
Looking at the leaked image, the top model Galaxy S22 Ultra has a similar appearance to the Galaxy Note series, such as adopting angular corners. The S22 Ultra is known to be the first S-series smartphone to incorporate Galnote's trademark S Pen.
The Galaxy S22 Ultra is expected to be equipped with a 6.8-inch AMOLED display that supports 120Hz injection rate. The application processor (AP) is expected to be equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 81st generation or Exynos 2200. The battery capacity is 5000mAh and it is expected to support fast charging.
The rear cameras are expected to have four cameras: a 108-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and two 10-megapixel zoom cameras. In addition, it is expected that a “polka dot design” will be adopted in which only the lenses are lined up without the camera bump.
Five colors are available: black, white, red, and green. Both seem to use matte materials. There is also a prospect that brown and navy colors will be added to be sold at exclusive malls.
The Galaxy S22 and S22 Plus are expected to be smaller in size than their predecessors. The S22 basic model is expected to have a 6.06-inch AMOLED display, while the Plus is expected to have a 6.55-inch AMOLED display. In the case of S21, the basic type was 6.2 inches and the plus was 6.7 inches.
The colors are black, white, green, and pink. There is also an expectation that colors such as beige, gray and light blue may be sold at exclusive malls.
The rear camera is expected to include a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 10-megapixel zoom camera.
The AP is expected to be equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 81st generation or Exynos 2200. The battery capacity is expected to be 3700mAh for the basic model and 4500mAh for the plus model.
There are different views on price. In the case of the previous Galaxy S21, the basic model was $799 (about 950,000 won), the plus was $999 (about 1.19 million won), and the ultra was $1,199 (about 1.43 million won).

Rumors are circulating that the price could go up to 1.55 million won.
However, some speculate that Samsung Electronics will raise the price only for the Ultra model, while other models will continue to start at $799.
Initially, the industry expected Samsung Electronics to hold an unpacking event for the Galaxy S22 series on February 8 and officially launch it on February 18. However, some say that the release date may be slightly delayed due to supply chain problems. Let's Go Digital reported that an unpacking event will be held in mid-February, and the product could be on sale from the last week of February.
